My client in far NW Austin is seeking a Construction Project Manager Assistant to join our growing team!


Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with estimating team on bidding and budgeting projects
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project plans from pre-project planning, project scheduling, construction to project closeout
  • Review contracts and project documents
  • Communicate with all involved parties, including schedules, change orders, work plans, time lines, project progress, and project budget
  • Assist with the construction of the project in accordance with approved contract budget and schedule
  • Assist with inspections of work completed to ensure quality meets or exceeds Company standards
  • Assist with the final project close-out upon completion process
  • Be involved with project status meetings and planning sessions
  • Interact with Company clients and vendors, maintaining positive customer relations
  • Perform administrative office duties as needed (copying, filing, emails, correspondence, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Studies in project management, construction management, engineering, construction science or similar
  • Project management experience, including all elements of scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, resources and communications preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent follow through and attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and complete multiple tasks within project deadlines is essential
  • Ability to understand a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • Very high work ethic
  • Demonstrates uplifting attitude, contributes to a positive team dynamic, embraces diversity, and able to make the workday fun and engaging
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Valid State of Texas driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Bilingual language fluency preferred (Spanish) but not required


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry objects of up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, crouch, climb stairs, talk and hear
  • Must have average dexterity to use arms, hands and fingers to handle, feel and reach
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
