Position Purpose

  • To provide project management expertise to the Compliance Workstream, manage/coordinate people and processes to ensure that Compliance projects are delivered on time and with the desired results
  • Provide support to the Compliance & Risk Director (Channel Islands) in the delivery of specific projects,
  • Act as liaison between business user groups and SME’s, other directors, other consultants and third-party suppliers, as part of a team of compliance and change professionals. The role will be part of the Compliance team working within the State Street/TMF integration team.

Relationships & Delegations

Reports to: Programme Director (Channel Islands Funds Integration)

Manages: Multiple Stakeholders from offices in Channel Islands (Jersey & Guernsey)

Works along side: Compliance Team, Business Leaders, Managers, SME’s across business, and the Wider Integration Team.


Performance Expectations & Deliverables

  • Developing compliance project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, and adherence to the programme governance requirements
  • Quantify and monitor resource availability and allocation Develop a detailed project plan and lead progress oversight and reporting
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholders
  • Manage a team of BA’s compliance SME’s or staff and/or other related project/change resources to ensure delivery to the timeline. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Perform risk management to mitigate project risks
  • Where appropriate undertake other specific compliance project tasks.

    Skills & Experience

  • Bring 5 years experience of working in a similar project Management role in a Fund Services Business
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Compliance best practice, policy and procedures in a Fund Services business
  • Successful track record of project managing multiple critical time-sensitive workstreams simultaneously
  • An awareness of Channel Islands regulatory frameworks and/or fund operations desirable
  • Demonstrate excellent aural, presentation and written communication skills, and show practical understanding of impact of business change and organisational growth.
  • Interact professionally with a diverse group of users, senior executives, managers, and subject matter experts and interface regularly with them to establish a network of solid working relationships.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, project delivery and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Approachable, proactive, creative and motivated team player able to hit the ground running.
