Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)
The Experimental Manager will provide leadership and vision to the Experimental Research and Development department helping to create strategic approaches for the organization. This focus will insure that tactical and strategic objectives are met within budgetary, schedule and quality parameters. This position will be directly responsible for daily management of first level supervisors in the daily execution of the plan and compliance with safety, quality, FAA regulations and personnel policies. This
position will also be responsible for coordination of all levels of Management. This position will be in coordination of all levels of Engineering for activities such as assembly of structures, mechanical and avionics systems while in utilization of all experimental resources through engineering drawing and engineering orders. This individual will also be responsible for coordinating with all other key
departments (Materials Management, Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Quality, FAA authorities.) in resolving daily experimental prototype problems to ensure minimum cost impacts and prevent of operational delays. Must have experience with the FAA regulations and certification processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for daily management of Experimental Assembly and Flight Ops
personnel in the daily execution of the plan and compliance with safety, quality
and personnel policies.
Coordinate experimental activities with all key functions of the organization and
maintain optimum utilization of resources.
Enable & support training initiatives that ensure all assigned employees are aware of
and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures and
regulations.
Develop and maintain operations business plans to include all program requirements,
labor hours, cycle, and production costs.
Provide guidance to personnel requirements, facility needs, and tooling and
equipment needs. Assist in developing yearly capital expenditure plan for assembly
operations.
Performs other duties and fulfills other responsibilities as assigned. 5%
Qualifications for Position:
A. Education
Bachelor degree in business management, business administration, engineering or related field.
OR Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a technical discipline (engineering, etc.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
Experience
Ten years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Experimental Assembly and Flight operations with five years of management. 5 years’ FAA regulations and Certification processes Operations experience, preferably in Aerospace with a track record of delivering successful results.
